MORITZ SNOWBOARDING GOGGLES

Part of Rapid Eyewear's range for winter and extreme sports, the Moritz (matt black with silver trim) are stylish, highly practical and versatile, thanks to their innovative removable side arms that can be replaced with a sturdy strap when it's time for action.

In their basic form, Moritz snowboarding goggles are a highly fashionable pair of wrap-around sports sunglasses. Add the foam windshield insert, unclip the side arms and add the strap and you have a high-specification pair of snowboarding sunglasses that will suit beginner and advanced users alike.

The Frames

Moritz benefit from an incredibly tough frame, made from TR90, a plastic material that's superior to the more usually seen polycarbonate. The frames are shatterproof, and offer a superb level of protection in the event of an accident. Rubber side arm inserts and nose pieces ensure maximum comfort.

The Lenses

Rapid Eyewear's new Frostech lenses feature an anti-fogging capability, thanks to a special coating applied to the inside surface. A mirror tinted finish ensures you will enjoy excellent levels of glare reduction - an important consideration on snow, where it can be a real problem. And of course, they look cool too! As with all Rapid Eyewear sport sunglasses, the Moritz have de-centred lenses, which means they have been calibrated to nullify the possible distorting effect of placing a curved lens in front of your face.

Moritz has Category 3 lenses fitted, a tint that can best be described as a 'standard' level of light filtering. Thanks to their high-quality optics, you will enjoy excellent contrast and clarity in your vision.

UV Protection and Conformity

Rapid Eyewear sunglasses comply with ISO 12311 and 12312 standards for sunglasses and protective equipment testing. They offer 100% UVA / UVB (UV400) protection and also comply with US Z80.3.

Changing to Extreme Sports Mode

It couldn't be easier to change Moritz from a pair of sports sunglasses into snowboard eyewear. All you do is:

1). Unclip the side arms and pull them out
2). Attach the sturdy, wide head strap
3). Adjust the length of the strap to suit
4). Clip on the foam gasket

The Package

Moritz are supplied with a microfibre carry pouch which doubles as a cleaning cloth, and a retainer strap for winter sports use.
