Innovative, stylish and practical, Catch Pro polarized Prescription fishing sunglasses from Allsports USA are perfect for spectacle wearers searching for the optimum in visual clarity. They bring all the benefits of our non-prescription eye wear, including interchangeable lenses, wrap-around styling and superior eye protection to those with less than perfect eyesight - all for a great price.

Complete Prescription Service

We are delighted to offer a full prescription service for customers who want the least amount of hassle when having their Catch Pro sunglasses glazed, and at the best price possible - you'll also enjoy the fastest turnaround times. To order, select the option you require from the drop-down menu at the top of this page and complete the boxes that appear.

The Package

  • High-quality, poly-carbonate frame
  • Category 0 lenses, for dark conditions and night fishing
  • Polarized Category 2 lenses, for fairly bright conditions
  • Polarized Category 3 lenses, for very bright conditions
  • Bespoke carry case
  • Micro-fiber cleaning cloth
  • Head retainer strap

The Frames

Our prescription sunglasses for fishing are built around a matte-black finished frame that has a prescription Rx clip housed in the back, whilst the tinted, interchangeable lenses sit on the front. This two-part arrangement allows for great versatility and performance, without compromising on the stylish look. The wrap-around frame blocks unwanted wind and light encroaching from the sides and bottom of your vision.

The frames are lightweight and tough, whilst the Rx clip, made from the almost indestructible TR90 material, ensures maximum protection for your eyes from impact. An important feature of Pro Prescription fishing sunglasses is that, unlike other types of Rx eye wear, your eyelashes will not touch the lenses.

The tinted lenses clip onto the top of the frames, allowing them to be flipped up for momentary 'normal' vision when required.

De-centered and Anti-Scratch Coated Lenses

Wrap-around sunglasses offer great benefits when it comes to blocking unwanted light and wind from the sides of your vision, but placing a curved lens in front of your eyes would normally cause distortion. However, all Catch Pro lens sets are de-centered, which means they are calibrated to remove the distorting effect.

Conformity

Allsports USA sunglasses conform to ISO 12311 and 12312 standards for sunglasses and protective equipment testing. They offer 100% UV A / UV B (UV400) protection and comply with US Z80-3.

How To Order

To add prescription lenses, choose your preferred option from the drop-down menu at the top of this page and fill in the boxes that appear before proceeding to the checkout. Please read through the information below before you proceed.

Is My Prescription Suitable?

Pro Prescription fishing sunglasses can be used for any regular (single-vision) prescription where the SPH (sphere) requirement is no stronger than plus or minus 4.5. Due to the curvature of the tinted lenses, they MAY not be suitable for those with prescription requirements that exceed 4.5 if your RX exceeds 4.5 please call us so we can check with our lens manufacturer if we can make lenses for you

Catch Pro Prescription sunglasses are also suitable for bi-focal, no-line progressives and prismatic lenses. We are pleased to offer a full prescription service for single-vision, bifocal and no-line progressives to our customers at prices that are highly competitive and indeed cheaper than most opticians. To take advantage of this service, select your chosen prescription from the buying options at the top of this page.

Pupillary Distance (PD)

This is the distance, in millimeters, between the pupils of your eyes, when measured across the front of your glasses. If you choose to have your prescription lenses added by us, you will be asked for this reading. A PD can range from 55 up to 70mm.

Most USA opticians do not put the PD on a standard prescription card (although they do measure it as part of a standard eye test) - if you do not know your PD, ask your optician to let you know what it is. If they do not know, or are unwilling to release the information, you can measure it simply yourself, by asking a friend to hold a ruler up against your glasses whilst you are wearing them. Try to be accurate, but note that, if you are 1 - 2mm out on your calculation, your glasses should still be fine.

How Long Will It Take To Make My Sunglasses?

Our turnaround time is 5-7 days from the date of order.

What If My Prescription Changes In The Future?

We will be happy to adjust your prescription for you should this occur. You can order a new Rx insert plus prescription lenses only in the Prescription Sunglasses section of this website.

Extra Tinted lenses

If you play golf, you may want to consider adding our green mirror Category 3 lens option from the drop-down menu at the top of this page before completing your purchase. We are also pleased to offer a clear, un-tinted option. The clear lens offers 100% UV A / UV B protection and is ideal for DIY, cycling etc. Please note that neither of these lenses are useful for fishing.
